What you’ll do

The Lead MSL Manager will lead the Oncology GI/GU-GYN MSL team in their role of engaging with health care professionals in high quality scientific exchange and clinical trials on current marketed products and development compounds within the GI/GU-Gyn Therapeutic Areas

One of the key elements of the role will be to collaborate with head office and field based medical teams to develop and implement high quality MSL plan

The successful jobholder will be expected to provide direct line management of the GI/GU-Gyn MSL team and will also be involved in the recruitment and induction of MSLs into the business

Essential for the role

  • Life sciences degree or other appropriate qualification (e.g. nursing, pharmacy)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information
  • Good understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with key thought leaders or investigators
  • Understanding of how the MSL strategy supports the medical strategy
  • Ability to understand commercial development perspectives

Desirable for the role

  • Higher degree in science or business subject
  • Experience in Oncology
  • Experience in the development of clinical trial programmes in the support of the therapy area portfolio an advantage
