In this role, You will be responsible for managing Medical Information projects as directed by the Medical Information Operations Manager and maintaining oversight of the Quality Control activities within Medical Information and Product Quality Complaints in AZUK, be able to identify and manage improvements and innovations in the Medical Information services provided by AstraZeneca UKM whilst Deputise within the Medical Information team in the absence of the Medical Information Operations Manager.
What you'll do
- Responsible for understanding and working to all relevant procedural documents, legislation and applicable codes and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date personal training record
- Ensure delivery of Medical Information team activities is in compliance with procedural documents, preparing local documentation where required to meet compliance/audit needs
- Accountable for delivery, at the appropriate level of training to the Field Force on the Medical Information Service
- Take part in audits and inspections and their associated preparation activities as required
- Attend and support Issue Management Teams alongside or in place of the MI Lead, including providing MI insight/solutions to supply and stock issues; coordinate the creation of Q&A documents as required.
- Coordinate and/or lead project work within the MI Team as directed by MI Lead
- Assist the MI Lead with oversight of Operational activities including Budget management and Vendor management
- Ensure optimal departmental processes through continuous review
- Be a consistently constructive, contributing, and adaptable member of the department.
- Identify opportunities to improve the medical information services provided by AstraZeneca AZUK by closely monitoring the quality of MI and PQC activities and maintaining oversight of key projects
- Lead any key change programs for the medical information team, including those related to GxP
- Ensure Medical Information Specialists are equipped with the tools and knowledge to provide a 1st in class medical service to AstraZeneca’s patients and customers by maintain the new starter onboarding programme
- Provide effective leadership to the Medical Information team in the MI Lead’s absence
- Ensure team processes and organisation are continuously reviewed for creativity, efficiency and productivity
Essential for this role
Life science degree or appropriate professional qualifications
- Experience of the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Experience of external customer interaction
- Ability to effectively interact with cross-functional colleagues
- Medical Information Experience
- Experience of quality management activities
