This role has overall Senior strategic accountability for establishing and optimising the design and performance of our vaccine and immune supply chains for a portfolio of products throughout their lifecycle to drive excellent customer service, compliance, responsiveness and cost.
Global Operations brand/portfolio owner will have full accountability for the development and optimization of the supply chain whilst the brand is in early clinical development (Phase I) all the way through to the end of the lifecycle for the brand. Your global matrix team(s) will manage all the strategic activities for your brand(s) ensuring all launch and/or lifecycle activities are planned and executed accurately.
What you will do:
Work seamlessly with the V&I business unit to provide timely supply strategies aligned with the speed of vaccine development.
Apply your knowledge and expertise to rapidly design, establish and optimize V&I product supply chains throughout the lifecycle for a portfolio of products within a Therapy Area, recognizing the fluidity of these types of products..
Provide product/brand leadership to other senior managers within AstraZeneca representing Operations at the Global Product Teams and other senior product stakeholder forums.
Lead and direct Global Supply Teams (matrix team(s)) to develop and execute the brand strategy across AZ Operations and supply chain changes.
Deliver successful, on-time new product launches to parameters agreed with our V&I team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Essential knowledge of vaccine supply chains and how to optimize their performance
Proficient in supply chain management, lean supply chains, data integrity.
Mastery of supply chain management, lean supply chains, data integrity, strategy development, influencing, collaboration, enterprise thinking, relationship management, financial acumen, product costing and business case development experience
Comprehensive understanding of product development, manufacturing and supply management and how other functions contribute to achieving the Supply Chain objectives of the business.
Knowledge of Lean methodologies as it supplies to supply chains
Understanding of global, regional and local environments to identify risks, and design robust supply chains that deliver product in the real world.
Experience in a supply-chain management or related role; experience in at least two operation roles, or product development roles/functions.
