As Director SAP S/4HANA Insights & Analysis you will be responsible for defining the data insights strategy and leading the delivery of a portfolio of projects that provide data-driven insights to help develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and/or predict business outcomes across the pharmaceutical product life cycle the end to end value chain (demonstration/launch through sales to patients and ultimately, product obsolescence) with particular emphasis on Manufacturing Operations and Finance. You will develop and implement innovative strategies to provide complex data and analytics to support business processes that the S/4HANA program will be enabling through the identification and influence of data standards, process standards and analytics to aid in storytelling. Responsible for influencing senior internal stakeholders and manage external collaborations and vendors to deliver effective solutions.
What you will do
Develop a multi-year strategy that will leverage S/4HANA fit-to-standard processes, data, and analytics solutions to transform analytics products for Operations and Finance. These projects will involve data visualizations, and may include exploratory and predictive analytic statistical models for review and analysis of data and will leverage embedded capabilities in S/4HANA as well as other solutions as the transformation programme and the business users see fit.
Lead teams to translate business problems into the appropriate analytics problem statements and solutions across Operations and Finance.
Create and foster effective relationships with senior and executive stakeholders to ensure utilization and value of information resources and services across the project portfolios and to influence architecture design and access to data for analytics
Lead the adoption of ongoing knowledge and awareness in trends, standard methodology and new developments in analytics to influence functional practices and strategy.
Define the training standards for hand off of analytics processes and tools to the “in-line” business teams
Collaborate across the AstraZeneca Data, Digital and AI communities to develop best practices and cross functional opportunities that drive value
Provide oversight and accountability partnerships with 3rd parties, academic or outsourced partners who will support the S/4HANA transformation programme
Essential for the role
Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent years of experience
Significant in depth experience in analysing data, drawing conclusions and presenting in a succinct fashion to senior stakeholders, along with recommended actions
Significant experience in the structuring data to support analytics and analysis of data in applied business and/or scientific application domains
Knowledge of data analytic and visualization tools such as R, Python, SpotFire or Tableau.
Experience working with database systems (eg SQL, NoSQL, graph) and SAP (S/4HANA highly desirable)
Proven experience in leading and managing junior colleagues
Experience in influencing and controlling budgets
Software development skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, business analysis, and consultancy skills
Good understanding of at least two business areas where the data science is applied
