Human Resources (HR) at AstraZeneca is a global organisation that delivers global and local processes through a combined model of in-house delivery and partnerships with 3rd parties (via HR Centres of Excellence (CoEs), Business Partners and HR Operations)

Across People Service Europe we are working to implement the People Services way of working in all small and medium sized markets, approximately 22 markets. This project aims to offer local HR support and guidance to identify process improvements and simplifications to enable business growth without HR growth in the market. It will focus on our 4 core People Services offerings, Ask AZ, My HR, WFA and Payroll. The role will co-ordinate all activity across all 4 service offerings and all 22 markets

Typical Accountabilities

  • Provides day to day leadership and support to the PS Director and team as directed across all aspects of the project.

  • Day to day management and updates to the team and country HRD’s, plan risks, issues, actions, decisions log. Escalating risks and issues where necessary

  • Tracking of activity across all markets and service offerings

  • Prepares and/or edits meeting agendas, minutes, presentations and tables

  • Set up of complex meetings and workshops, often involving attendees from multiple locations and markets

  • Co-ordinates, collates and communicates information at the detailed level

  • Coordinates preparation of internal and external reports through gathering, analysing and summarizing data and information from the project team

  • Reconciles figures or information from various sources, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and follow-up on discrepancies

  • Ensures coordination of the different business areas involved on a project and ensures adherence to deadlines

  • Co ordination of all governance activities across the project

  • Co ordination of lessons learnt across the markets as implementation progresses

Essential

  • Experience of supporting projects

  • Can demonstrate experience in working in a global environment, supporting work between different functions

  • Good Written and spoken communications

  • Has an eye for detail

  • Competent in the use of relevant office equipment and systems

  • Experience of a variety of software/systems

  • Ability to follow processes

Desirable

  • Experience of working on a global / large scale programme

  • Knowledge of AstraZeneca project management framework

  • Flexibility – able to adapt working style to support programme needs

  • Collaborates well and able to work successfully across multiple functions
