JOB ROLE

The Senior Business Partner works closely with Senior Stakeholders providing functional planning and performance management services as well as driving transformation change. They develop strategic management plans and lead transformation initiatives, whilst running performance measurement processes linking strategic objectives to key performance indicators, to drive the delivery of IT2025 and improve the overall performance of the function and IT as a whole.

We will drive continuous improvement and alignment, as well as preparing the organisation to meet the needs of the future. As the Senior Business Partner you will collaborate with the Director of Business Partnering in IT's Strategy & Performance function.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be a trusted partner and advisor to a senior leadership team with the purpose to enable functions to accelerate delivery, work smarter and leaner

  • Enable the creation, delivery and execution of key Strategy & Performance work you're doing (e.g. Strategy Cascade, Tier, Scorecard)

  • Support functional strategic planning, to enable organisations to become more future focussed, operationally efficient and aligned.

  • Be a strategic advisor to the ITLT to advise on Industry trends both inside and outside of AstraZeneca, that could help innovation and transformation.

  • See opportunities to improve the Service Offering of Strategy and Performance, or to help improve, standardise or transform the way that IT delivers.

  • Drive a continuous improvement approach and develop culture of collaboration and partnership across both S&P and IT as a whole.

  • Align all the areas of Strategy and Performance so that there is a seamless customer interaction and shared information flow.

  • Create and design appropriate measures, evaluate metrics and outputs and report on business performance and trends so that ITLT understand business performance against key indicators, risks and actions to mitigate risks

  • Create and lead the scorecard creation for the functional leadership team, ensuring that the measures are aligned to the strategic business priorities and provide a realistic overview of business performance against targets

  • Support the implementation of Key IT Initiatives to drive organisational change and improve business performance.

  • Lead the development and implementation of solutions to problems identified through analysis and data driven insights

  • Communicate performance and trends to ITLT to identify risks at the earliest stage possible

WORKS COLLOBORATIVELY

  • Functional leadership as the key interface and source of management of business performance against key indicators, areas of risk, and actions to mitigate risk

  • Functional leadership and wider IT team to create and own a Performance Improvement approach and to drive the implementation of a performance management culture based on effective measurement & continuous improvement

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Progressive experience in Consulting, IT business or financial management

  • Progressive experience leading multi-functional teams and building consensus and influencing senior partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, transform organisational operations and drive alignment

  • Experience with benchmarking/scorecards and reporting

  • Solid skills using the suite of Microsoft Office products

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Have an entrepreneurial attitude and search for new opportunities.

  • Have strong Critical thinking and reasoning skills

  • Ability to transform ambiguity into clarity

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders without authority

  • Very comfortable with reporting and communicating to all levels of management

  • Strong data analytics capabilities

  • Strong change management (including a solid understanding of human centred change) and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work well in and across diverse, global teams and demonstrable ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes

  • Excellence in driving process performance and efficiency improvements (Six Sigma certification a plus)
