This is an opportunity for You, an ambitious and driven Finance professional to join the Management Reporting Hub Team (MRHT), which is part of the dynamic Global Finance Services (GFS) team based in Luton. We aim to drive standardization and simplification in our processes whilst remaining focused to meet the changing needs of business.

Your main role is to ensure that the Management Reporting Hub delivers accurate management reporting by ensuring that the integrity of the financial data is maintained throughout the system landscape. This will ensure that AZ customer base has access to quality information in a timely manner to allow further data analysis and business decisions.

This role gives a unique opportunity to gain experience in internal AZ Management Reporting with focus on system architecture, data transfers, task support, account management, strategic thinking, transition work and trouble shooting. You will report to the Reporting Director providing support on key data integrity activities. You will provide leadership, guidance, and business insight to the IS (information services) support teams regarding continuous improvement of the system, management of tasks and issues.

Success will depend on building strong relationships and effective liaison with the MRHT Reporting Leads, key stakeholders across the SET areas, Group Reporting, and IT support teams, ensuring that issues are identified and resolved efficiently.

You will be responsible for following areas:

  • Data Integrity processes across SET areas to ensure accurate data in preparation for MRH Reporting deadlines

  • Understand and enforce the Data Integrity Standards, ensuring each Data Transfer Points (DTP’s) meets these, so the data moves from ‘Source to Target’ accurately and any differences are captured and rectified at source-Enterprise and Non-Enterprise systems.

  • Understand the process for each DTP’s, ETL’s and File Transfers.

  • Building system reconciliations in conjunction with Data Engineers/Architects to perform data checks.

  • Support issue resolution.

  • Proactively seek to prevent any faults on the process and act accordingly to rectify any issues.

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement.

  • Handle the issues and queries from the users together with IS teams by identifying appropriate actions to address them. Raise issues with the IS on behalf of the business and co-ordinate the actions until remediated.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Qualified Accountant, preferably ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Excellent and current technical skills and knowledge are essential from practice or industry.

  • Microsoft office skills are prerequisite.

  • Qualified with extensive experience of Management / Internal Reporting processes and systems and the ability to demonstrate the appropriate leadership capabilities.

  • Problem solving skills.

  • Analytical and attention to detail when addressing issues / data quality issues.

  • Experience of reporting for Group consolidations in a large group or shared service centre using a major ERP system and a consolidation toolkit such as Hyperion. SAP experience is preferable.

  • Project management experience with a strong ability to be able to align multiple teams with a common goal.

  • Experience of combining process development with focus on business needs.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • SAP, SAP4 & Oracle experience is preferable.

  • SOAR experience.

  • Hyperion experience.

  • SQL writing skills desirable and ability to understand database structure working with large datasets.

  • Experience working in AZ, with knowledge of current management reporting hierarchy processes, timelines, and customers.

  • Existing relationships and knowledge of Regions/Marketing Areas or Ability to build strong relationships quickly.

  • Working across multiple stakeholders / SET areas (e.g. Regions, Marketing Areas, Group Finance).
