Job role

We are looking for a Business Performance Manager to join our Global IT team. As part of this role you will be responsible for offering analytical support across the IGNITE portfolio, being accountable for performance status tracking and reporting across all services and towers. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and attention to details, experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and a track record of timely and efficient delivery of data collation and analysis to enable reporting and recommendations.

The role will report directly to the Head of Business Operations and Transformation in IGNITE and will be accountable for ensuring effective planning, tracking and reporting of our business portfolio, analysis of financial data and other service metrics and visualization of insights at portfolio level. Your role will be essential in helping us make informed decisions and optimize our portfolio and business operations based on data driven insights.

Key accountabilities

  • Manager the performance of our services across the IGNITE portfolio, including key metrics and perform financial analysis to understand position against budgets and forecasts
  • Analyse trends and provide regular reporting to senior leaders, identifying potential risks and supporting with data driven recommendations
  • Collaborate with team members in IGNITE and Global IT to develop performance metrics and KPI's for measuring portfolio success
  • Track and analyse demand levels for our services, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and business objectives
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to understand impact of demand on service metrics and financials, identify potential challenges and provide recommendations
  • Collect and consolidate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness to support senior leadership with data driven insights
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and data modelling and apply visualization techniques to support management with performance reporting
  • Identify key insights from the data to support decision making and improve performance across services
  • Support different teams in IGNITE with project driven data analysis, such as cost analysis and tracking, resource allocation to identify cost savings opportunities
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to understand costs vs budgets and enabling reporting and communication of key opportunities within IGNITE
  • Collaborate with other cross functional teams to define data requirements and establish data collection process with focus on accuracy, quality and reliability
  • Participate in ad hoc business case data requirements and provide insights to address specific challenges in our portfolio
  • Continuously work to improve team performance and productivity
  • Support the Head of Business Operations with design of outcomes and key results as well as status tracking and reporting
  • Support the Head of Business Operations and Transformation with data insights to help drive an optimal operating model and alignment to key results
  • Provide input to data playbooks, presentations and others workstreams that require insights driven recommendations

Essential skills & experience

  • Experience as performance or business analyst, working with cross functional teams and providing analytics support within a portfolio of services or projects
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to translate requirements into relevant insights
  • Proficiency in data analysis and ideally visualization tools
  • Familiarity with cost tracking techniques and product delivery methodologies
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills, applied in a global environment
  • Attention to details and a strong commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with teams, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

Desirable

  • Degree in relevant field or proven experience in data analysis practice
  • Good eye for business and understanding of key results and performance indicators
  • Experience of working in a global organisation with sophisticated/geographical context
  • Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI
  • Cross industry business awareness/business tried experience
