This is an opportunity for You, an ambitious and driven Finance professional to join the Management Reporting Hub Team (MRHT), which is part of the dynamic Global Finance Services (GFS) team based in Luton. We aim to drive standardization and simplification in our processes whilst remaining focused to meet the changing needs of business.

Your main role is to ensure that the Management Reporting Hub delivers the agreed reporting scope to the business within agreed timelines and quality. This will ensure that AZ customer base has access to quality information in a timely manner to allow further data analysis and business decisions.

This role gives a unique opportunity to gain experience in Management Reporting with focus on system setup, development, task support, account management, strategic thinking, transition work, trouble shooting and leading projects in the management reporting arena. You will report to the Reporting Director providing support on key reporting activities including new project initiatives.

You will provide leadership, guidance, and business insight to the IS (information services) support teams regarding standard report offerings, management reporting pack creation and customer interaction to build an appropriate level of capability to support the AZ Customer base.

Success will depend on effective liaison with Financial and Business colleagues across Commercial, Operations, Science and Enabling. Including key stakeholders across the SET areas and Group Reporting, ensuring clarity around data, period close and Management Reporting outputs meet the needs of the business.

You will be responsible for following areas:

  • Data Integrity processes

  • Standard Reporting is fit for purpose

  • Management Reporting Packs

  • Reporting enhancements and continuous improvement

  • Super User Community

  • Central communication

  • Change processes

  • Oversee issue resolution

In this role it will be your responsibility to:

  • Build and stabilize the function and to partner with across SET Areas to support effective and actionable management reporting.

  • Manage the standard reporting catalogue ensuring fit for purpose, Reporting Pack creation process together with IS teams. Proactively seek to prevent any faults on the process and act accordingly to rectify any issues.

  • Support the Users in the business by providing guidance and training when needed.

  • Handle the issues and queries from the users together with IS teams by identifying appropriate actions to address them. Raise issues with the IS on behalf of the business and co-ordinate the actions until remediated.

  • Manage and plan the principles for the MRHT Finance Portal and other communication channels to our customer base.

  • Capture and evaluate changes requested from the business for new, improved / enhanced reports / channels and feed into change governance process as well as proactively identifying areas for improvement and enhancement within the system.

  • Identify and promote opportunities to improve and standardize processes in the team and Finance in general. Improvements in controls and efficiency are continually being sought through Process or System enhancements

  • Provide input to impact assessment of changes to hierarchies and finance data model.

  • If appropriate to provide support and advice/expertise to other transitions / projects.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Qualified Accountant, preferably ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Excellent and current technical skills and knowledge are essential from practice or industry.

  • Microsoft office skills are prerequisite.

  • Qualified with extensive experience of Management / Internal Reporting processes and systems who can demonstrate the appropriate leadership capabilities.

  • Analytical and attention to detail when addressing issues / data quality issues.

  • Experience of reporting for Group consolidations in a large group or shared service centre using a major ERP system and a consolidation toolkit such as Hyperion. SAP experience is preferable.

  • Working across multiple stakeholders / SET areas (e.g. Regions, Marketing Areas, Group Finance).

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to reflect the style according to the audience.

  • Experience working in AZ, with knowledge of current management reporting hierarchy processes, timelines, and customers.

  • Strong coordination skills with ability to get into the detail when required.

  • Project management experience with a strong ability to be able to align multiple teams with a common goal.

  • Experience of combining process development with focus on business needs.

  • Problem solving skills
