We now have an opportunity for a Warehouse & Material Management Business Process Owner (BPO) to join the programme.
As BPO, you will own and be accountable for the material storage and retrieval processes within the ERP design which combine to ensure effective warehouse management within of our global manufacturing sites as well are our partners sites where we integrate our ERP for these activities. A key objective of the role will be the successful implementation and adoption SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) technology.
You will lead a team of SMEs in the definition, design and ongoing improvement of the processes and tools to ensure efficient, effective and transparent ways of working. These will consider both the opportunities of the future ERP technology implementation and the practical adoption of the technology within existing sites. You will evaluate and design the integrations required for the SAP EWM technology to work with existing warehouse infrastructure including the most effective implementation approach in any specific location. These processes should fully support the optimization of inventory levels to create a resilient and efficient supply chain.
You will also work closely with the Transportation, Procurement and Production to Dispatch teams to ensure effective integrated processes for the reception of material at a site, availability of material within the site and transportation of material between these sites including associated quality control processes.
You will contribute to setting the strategic direction for the process with the Executive Process Owner (EPO) and drive the process towards that strategic direction.
You'll lead the process network to drive process maturity and continuous improvements, linking with connected BPOs to ensure alignment across Plan, Source, Make & Deliver business processes.
What you’ll do
Design and own the global processes including standards and procedures
Provide thought leadership and strategic input into the optimal adoption of S/4 HANA Extended Warehouse Management technology
Form, engage and lead a global network of Warehousing professionals to assure cross-functional cooperation to integrate processes & promote End to End process thinking
Drive standardisation, harmonisation and alignment to the process
Define Key Performance Indicators; monitor and improve process performance
Manage continuous improvement and change and assure those are aligned with company and business strategic direction (aligned with EPO)
Partner with the Data teams to ensure the S/4 HANA data model and data cleansing activities support the Material Management processes and target key performance indicators
Document the process to appropriate level of detail and to relevant compliant requirements & assure relevant documentation and SOPs are trained in place with Users
Facilitate sharing of good practice and learning
Identify issues and risks, highlighting as required and managing through Business Risk Log
Manage links with related processes and relationship with key partners
Own business continuity plan for the process if required
Essential for the role:
Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in relevant scientific or business field
In depth knowledge of own process area and associated data, and integrations with other processes.
Knowledge of warehouse systems and their implementation in an operations environment
Solid understanding of business process management, and establishing and governance global standard processes.
Good knowledge of how own process area is transacted in SAP
Extensive experience of leading transformational business change within a pharmaceutical environment
Ability to influence and persuade tactfully, to obtain desired outcomes while maintaining effective, positive, organizational relationships
Strong influencing skills in a matrix organization
