Reporting to the PMO Lead, this exciting opportunity will involve working as part of a fun and collaborative team responsible for building and driving the processes and rigor required to ensure the success of the projects within the GBS Acceleration & Expansion programme. This programme is part of the AZ Future of Work Programme.
To be successful in this role you will need a working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and templates and will contribute to the development and maintenance of PMO processes and procedures. You will ensure that business requirements are effectively captured and tracked, challenge and report on project management information and highlight and support resolution of areas of risk in project delivery.
Typical Accountabilities
Develop and manage execution of programme plan, monitoring and tracking of project plans including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality, and ensure tracking of the project delivering on time and on budget.
Provide support to the PMO Lead in planning, managing and monitoring major projects from concepts through implementation and may also manage own smaller projects.
Assist in the proactive initiation, coordination and analysis of resource allocation, onboarding and team tracking .
Effectively manage changes to project/programme scopes through the Change Control process.
Establish relationships with programme stakeholders and projects to capture requirements and ensure their understanding and commitment to the project/programme objectives.
Prepare presentation materials for a variety of management reports.
Develop online management reports and key performance parameters through Cascade and Smartsheet.
Evaluate and monitor the performance and efficiency of projects to ensure that programme implementation is on target through regular health checks.
Work on overall project planning through reporting on project schedules and deliverables.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
Experience of managing small projects/programmes or in a similar role
PMO experience
Well developed organisational and interpersonal skills
Experience of working with third party suppliers
Experience of working application of policies, procedures and guidelines
Proactive self-starter who strives for high standards
MS Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel etc
Desirable
Business degree / professional qualification
Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
Cascade experience
Smartsheet experience
