Reporting to the GBS Acceleration & Expansion Programme Director, this exciting role will have the responsibility for shaping programme solutions and approaches. This is a key role in building and driving the processes and rigor required to ensure the success of the projects within the GBS Acceleration & Expansion programme as part of the AZ Future of Work Programme.
To be successful in this role you will need solid and pragmatic project and programme management experience, be willing to challenge the norm, drive high standards and seek continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be proactive and have the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Accountabilities
Working closely with the GBS Programme Director to ensure projects deliver on time, on budget and in line with quality and compliance standards:
Develop and manage all PMO processes, ensuring that project teams adopt quality and compliance standards, policies and procedures.
Working with the PMO Analyst, drive PMO procedures including: Change Control, Lifecycle Management, Assurance etc.
Responsible for the creation of reporting packs for all governance forums, working closely with the Programme Director to drive high quality data and updates.
Create and manage programme level plan and ensures that projects manage and track against their detailed plans to ensure deliverables are met.
Proactively track, manage and mobilise programme and project resources.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders and ensure that programme requirements are effectively captured and met.
Support resourcing of programme and project teams (including definition of roles and responsibilities), whilst encouraging teamwork and collaboration amongst the team and relevant stakeholders.
Apply specialist knowledge and skills in project management, project planning, budgets, and methodologies.
Review deliverables prepared by the programme team and support sign-off processes.
Resolve quality and compliance risks and issues and ensure team adopts quality assurance policies and procedures.
Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst project teams.
Manage, identify and drive resolution of risks & issues, actions and dependencies
Undertake project reviews and quality assurance procedures with PMO team and project teams.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
Degree level qualification or project/programme management qualification
Significant experience in programme/project management, including experience in a PMO Lead role, with a proven track record
Strong communication and relationship building skills with experience of collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams
Strong networking/consulting skills with good internal/external links
Proven track record in supporting high risk programme/projects and decision making
Experience of managing a budget and resources
Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
Desirable
Project Management qualification
Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
Cascade and Smartsheet experience
