As a Senior Scientist within Bioscience, you'll have a good understanding of the range of procedures relating to bioanalysis/bioscience. You will expertly design and conduct laboratory projects/experiments, develop methods, generate interpret and report scientific data. You'll also be proficient in trouble shooting and theory.

What you'll do
Designs, plans and performs high-quality in-vitro drug discovery experiments independentlyin the oncology disease area to assess efficacy, triage and understand mechanism of action of lead candidates
Delivers & analyses data, providing interpretations using scientific rigour from own data and that of others, andcommunicates results to team members in a clear and concise manner with a clear understanding of its implications within drug discovery
Shows scientific leadership to identify and develop new complex cell basedbioassay ideas, implement new models/assays/latest technology relevant to bioconjugatesand their small molecule payloads
Works collaboratively with team members and cross-functionally to support early drug discovery platforms and projects and establish opportunities to succeed
Maintains a well-developed understanding of approaches to bioassaysand antibody-drug conjugates, applying a broader functional knowledge to support the team
Actively develops own skillsetand alsoenablescolleagues to thrive through mentoring, regularly sharingexpertise and relevant scientific papers and as a role modelfor Good Laboratory Practice and Safety, Health and Environment standards
Essential for the role
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Bio/chemical engineering or relevant discipline
B.Sc./M.Sc. in above disciplines with relevant industrial experience
Deep understanding of protein biochemistry and cell biology
Extensive hands-on experience in cell culturewith a track-record of establishing, validating and conducting in vitrobioassays and application to drug discovery
Experience with GraphPad Prism, microplate readers and liquid handling automation
3D complex cell culture, target engagement (e.g.WB), and cell imaging experience would be highly desirable
Protein/bioconjugate characterisation (e.g.HPLC/LCMS)experiencemight be beneficial
