Global Supply Chain & Strategy (GSC&S) creates and enhances agile, connected, and sustainable supply chains that place pioneering science into the hands of patients. Our focus is on using maximum competitive advantage by enabling end-to-end supply chain integration. To do so we have initiated a transformative Digital Strategy programme to drive new levels of efficiency for our business and deliver exponential value.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for someone with good supply chain knowledge, excellent analysis skills and project management experience to be a key member of the GSC&S Digital and Analytics group at AstraZeneca and help drive transformative change across the organization.
What you'll do:
Play a meaningful role in delivering and crafting the future of digital and analytics in the supply chain organisation. This will include evaluating new solutions and approaches, and progressing the use of advanced analytics including big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence for Supply Chain.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives in the Digital Strategy, which will include: undertaking impact assessments, ensuring business requirements are testable, working with the Portfolio Director and Technical leads to identify the most effective delivery model & solution, project managing the delivery which may include taking the role of Scrum Master or Project Manager. You will also be responsible for supervising business benefits of each initiative.
Through our digital transformation, we will build citizen developer capability across the organization. In the early phases of that journey you will also be required to support the business through the creation of analytics reports and dashboards.
You will engage with key stakeholders from across GSC&S to understand their needs, showcase the art of the possible and help shape their demand. You will also work closely with delivery teams across IT and the GSC&S Data Science team to deliver exciting new capability, as well as advance the quality of analysis and business intelligence capabilities.
Essential skills & experience:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree (or equivalent)
Significant experience combined in a customer facing role / consultant role, supply chain and analytics position.
Significant Project/Programme Management experience with proven delivery track record ideally in end-to-end delivery of applications development
Strong analytical capabilities
Ability to use data to influence business decisions and drive desired behaviours
Understanding of Supply Chain concepts and experience in a Planning/Inventory/Logistics/Forecasting role or an IT role supporting similar functions
Demonstrated skills in story telling with data and ability to optimally present sophisticated information to senior leaders in a meaningful manner
Ability to handle ambiguity and change both optimally and pragmatically
Desirable:
Familiarity with Supply Chain Planning systems such as OMP
Knowledge of database and data structures
Familiarity with data science concepts, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
Familiarity with Digital Twins and Control Towers
Agile methodology delivery
Consulting experience / Supply Chain experience across multiple industries
Knowledge of database and data structures
Experience of working in global organisation where partners and project teams are geographically dispersed
