The Director, Legal Entity Tax Accounting and Forecasting plays an important role in supporting the global quarterly reporting and legal entity accounting processes. We are therefore looking for a candidate with strong tax accounting experience, a natural a problem solver, simplifier, integrator, connector and most importantly a good communicator.

The successful candidate will also work closely with the wider group tax team, in addition, they will work with our group financial reporting and financial planning and reporting teams to provide insight and ensure we can meet the necessary business outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of our consolidated quarterly legal entity forecast (LEF) to ensure profitability of different entities in accordance with intercompany agreements and transfer pricing principles.

  • Ensuring standardised formats and clarity of assumptions in order to facilitate communications with the appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Working cross-functionally with various teams to automate and optimize processes and reports that impact the speed and accuracy of legal entity tax accounting.

  • Assisting with model forecast tax rate and cash tax implications of tax law change and business change.

  • Supporting the integration of any one-time transactions into the current and future LEF models, ensuring compliance with appropriate rules and regulations.

  • Attending and participating in all cross-functional meetings, including with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Accounting to keep abreast of all current and future events that impact the legal entity forecasts.

  • Providing oversight initiatives or cross-functional projects impacting Accounting.

  • Working proactively with the Financial Operations, Tax, and FP&A teams to ensure an efficient and accurate flow of information between teams.

  • Leading the delivery of our annual long-term plan (LTP) legal entity forecast to ensure proper profitability of different entities which will be used as the basis for deferred asset recognition analysis throughout the global organization.

  • Working collaboratively with other members of the tax team to complete mandatory local statutory financial statements and tax reporting requirements.

  • Managing deliverables to external auditors.

  • Contributing to any ad hoc projects as they arise.


Essential Criteria

  • A change agent who challenges, works with an agile, positive mindset, and has the ability to think differently and make it happen.

  • Knowledge of legal entity forecasting principles and basic tax principles required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.

  • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

  • Exceptional communication skills to work with key stakeholders and cross functional teams.

  • Minimum of 10 years in tax, accounting or FP&A for a large corporation or global public accounting firm.

  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills & motivation and discipline.

Desirable criteria:

  • Basic understanding of core financial process or experience in the Clinical Trial space will be an advantage.

  • User acceptance testing experience.

  • Hypercare experience
