What you'll do

AstraZeneca Ireland is looking for a talented, ambitious team player to join our Respiratory team in an exciting field sales role. We are looking for a candidate with Respiratory experience who has the flexibility and motivation to adapt to our changing product portfolio and our evolving customer engagement model. As a member of the Respiratory team, you will contribute to developing and delivering patient value through our products, scientific engagement and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for promoting the Respiratory Biologic in a patient centric way. Develop outstanding product and disease state knowledge and effectively educate and engage healthcare professionals in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support prescribing for appropriate patients.

  • Engagement with key respiratory centres and integrated care system stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve patient pathways.
  • Improving patient pathways i.e. increasing referrals and activating new prescribers
  • Function independently with a high degree of sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet and exceed therapeutic and territory potential, addressing any shortfall areas.
  • Excellent Territory planning and reporting, analysis and return on investment per account.
  • Work with the cross-functional Respiratory team to share market insights.
  • Coordinate efforts on shared objectives and partner closely with Medical Science Liaisons, Marketing and Sales Manager to ensure seamless delivery of our Respiratory medicines to our customers whether that's digitally or face-to-face depending on the circumstances.
  • Develop, maintain & build on relationships with Key prescribing & non prescribing HCPs to progress the product knowledge and adoption levels of the Brand in suitable patients.
  • Managing Territory administration using CRM, expenses, Reports etc
  • Conduct business in an ethical, compliant manner according to company Code of Conduct

Essential for the role

  • 3-4 years Hospital Sales experience
  • Based on account potential, the role requires 3-4 days per week working in Dublin accounts and 1-2 day a week each in accounts outside of Dublin. Candidates must be able to commit to this territory resourcing requirement.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated self-starter with exceptional Communication, Interpersonal, Presentation and organisational skills with a real drive to succeed.
  • Skillset to engage virtually as well as face to face (based on the circumstance).
