Working as part of the Pack Change Team, our Packaging Compliance Officers are accountable for managing the introduction of changes to printed packaging components through excellent project management and customer relationships. Day-to-day the jobholder’s impact on the business is through the accurate and timely provision of information and co-ordination of activities of pack change activities. This is required to deliver global regulatory compliance, minimal stock write-off and supply continuity during the Pack Change process.
Job responsibilities:
- To be the single point of contact for Marketing Companies, external Artwork Houses, Supply Points and Project Managers, for all aspects of labelling changes. Information gathered is to be communicated across UK Operations.
- To work with Global Marketing Companies to understand the requirements, scope and timescales for market driven artwork changes. This is done through the Gazelle global pack change IT system.
- To work with Operations project teams and production to create projects to progress technically driven artwork changes.
- To project manage the change from initial notification to approved artwork ensuring the latest implementation dates can be achieved. Responsible for maintaining and communicating the information on the change from receipt to closure, to all stakeholders to support compliant first supply of stock to market.
- To accurately set up and progress artwork change projects within Gazelle. To work with the external Graphics Houses to ensure accurate and timely creation of artworks.
- To ensure all artworks are created and approved in the timescales required for the implementation of the new packs and that all labelling changes are introduced in accordance with the regulatory and GMP requirements of the market concerned.
- To work within the ICON (SAP) system to update component status as artworks are approved, and to initiate the creation of new bills of materials.
- To build and maintain excellent customer relations across interfaces throughout the supply chain and global Regulatory and Global Labelling functions. Project manage and co-ordinate any technical changes initiated by Operations.
- Pro-actively progress opportunities to reduce cost by bundling changes. Obtain and communicate a forward view of changes required by Regulatory and Operations.
- Contribute to new pack and product launches by ensuring compliant and effective on-time delivery of packaging components (as part of a New Product Introduction Team as appropriate)
- Raise the awareness of the global Regulatory function in the requirements of the Macclesfield change processes and similarly Operations personnel in Regulatory processes.
