This position will collaborate with and influence other Quality professionals across the organization to ensure consistent application and execution of key quality systems and requires strong cross-functional ways of working with non-QA members in the organisation. You will be responsible for Quality Assurance Supplier Management including but not limited to:
- Quality Assurance Agreements;
- trending and reporting of data;
- assessing, reviewing and improving quality systems at Suppliers
What you’ll do
- Responsible for Quality Management of Suppliers (Logistics Service Providers) across the EMEA region .This includes QA audits, change control, product quality complaint and deviation investigations, quality issue management and escalation, product release, Compliance/Quality improvement plans and QA Agreements (establishment and maintenance).
- QA support for Primary Distribution activities (outbound from supply sites) in aligned countries in the EMEA Region
- QA support for Global Logistics Function EMEA team members, ensuring compliance with AZ Standards and GDP’s associated with Pharmaceutical Product distribution.
- Provide expert QA input to Asset Strategy and/or Value Delivery projects. This includes identifying, assessing and onboarding new Suppliers
- Develops and maintains effective business relationships with Suppliers and AZ receiving sites
- Regional Process Champion for key quality/lean processes within the Global Logistics Function
Essential requirements
- Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry or Engineering. A QA professional may be mentored into this role without a degree, based on experience and performance history
- Proven experience in either the pharmaceutical operations environment or pharmaceutical Quality Assurance/GMP/GDP role
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles and concepts of GDP, quality and compliance management, quality risk management and performance evaluation and control.
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Strong ability and motivation to learn
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required approximately 25% of their time.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in a PCO/PET organization or Lean/Six Sigma training.
- Multi-site / multi-functional experience
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance or combination of Quality and Technical
