The Toll Process Execution Team (Toll PET) exists to own, govern and execute the global internal toll and sell-through business processes, so that we enable supply to customers whilst maximising financial value to AstraZeneca. The current reach is to 8 AZ toll sites and virtual sell-through from 5 AZ Sites with reach across all global regions.
The Toll PET sits in Global Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S) within Operations
The Toll PET is responsible for owning, managing and executing key business processes linked to the AstraZeneca Tolling processes and financial sell though processes.
The Toll Supply Chain Manager’s role is to operationally set-up, manage and govern the supply of AZ product from AZ sites who operate as Toll manufacturers, to meet customer requirements, working across timezones and cultures with Global AZ sites.
As a result of proposed changes in financial flows for a number of supply chains, we have an exciting opportunity for a Toll supply Chain Manager to help establish and manage Toll relationships
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Activities and accountabilities may vary slightly depending on the portfolio allocated but includes:
- Maintain supply - Liaise with the Toll manufacturers to ensure governed supply of AZ products in alignment with our customers:
- Understanding the needs/requirements of our customers.
- Setup of new product supply chains ensuring all systems requirements are met.
- Agreeing supply that meets our customers’ needs whilst maximising efficiency e.g. minimising stock write-off/re-work resulting from changes.
- Accountability for shelf life management of product at an AZ Toll site.
- Act as a point of escalation in major supply issues linked to the bulk provided by other AZ sites or GES to the Toll Manufacturer
- Raising and supplying subcontract orders/purchase orders to the Toll Manufacturer in order that authority is provided for manufacturer.
- Operate an audit process to ensure governance is being maintained.
- Where deployed, manage process execution using Toll system interfaces.
- Understanding the operational capability of our internal suppliers.
- To liaise with the Toll manufacturer on product changes/introductions to deliver to plan without causing rework/write off.
- Project support – Liaise with project teams to ensure appropriate set up for new Tolling relationships whilst maintaining supply to patient at all times
- Work with project teams from across functions (site, IT, finance, planning) to map proposed business process and IT design
- Support preparation for clear project plan (including scope, implementation) and drive adherence for deliverables and timelines
- Represent toll in impact analysis and understand requirements from Toll team or other teams as necessary
- Understand scope and impact to end to end supply chain to ensure no disruption to supply during project
- Working alongside the project team, deliver any requirements impacting Toll supply, including but not limited to data review and loading, test planning and completion, deployment and cutover activities
- Drive and advocate need for process harmonisation and use of global standards
- Develop and implement a proactive communication plan to keep key stakeholders up to date with progress and next steps
- Where appropriate, to represent the Toll PET on matters relating to Internal tolling.
- To ensure compliance with AZ corporate policies:
- Ensure adherence to all required aspects of controls and compliance. (SoX and FCF)
- To be responsible for the accurate maintenance of master data for products within a portfolio using service providers appropriately. E.g SAP
- To be an active member of the Toll PET delivery of business objectives & targets
- To employ & deliver consistency (where appropriate) with the Toll business processes, one way of working across the organisation regardless of geographic location or portfolio.
- Run/ participate in GSC&S work-streams/ projects
- Keep a lean agenda - constantly strive for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness

- Extensive SAP ERP knowledge and competent use of Excel
