Sustainability at AstraZeneca
At AstraZeneca, sustainability is at the core of our business strategy. Our sustainability strategy is focused around three strategic pillars of: Environmental Protection; Access to Healthcare; and Ethics & Transparency. Integrating sustainability into everything that do we future-proofs our business to be resilient in challenging times, helping to ensure we can continue to deliver life-changing medicines to patients whilst protecting the environment.
We recognise that a healthy environment is inextricably linked to the health of people and society, and we need to operate within our planetary boundaries for a healthy planet. We are committed to protecting and restoring ecosystems by limiting environmental impacts across our value chain, investing in nature and water stewardship, and protecting biodiversity on and around our sites.
