Job Title: Accountable Engineer

Introduction to Role:

Join AstraZeneca's Macclesfield Campus - Facilities Management Function as an Accountable Engineer.

This role provides professional Engineering Subject Matter Expertise (Electrical Utilities) to support the AstraZeneca Macclesfield Campus. As a member of the FM Hard Services Governance Team, you will contribute to the provision, continuous improvement, and delivery of a World Class service to the site, ensuring statutory, regulatory and GMP Compliance requirements are met.

Accountabilities:

As an Accountable Engineer, you will establish collaborative ways of working to build and manage strong internal customer & supplier relationships. You will develop the campus asset management strategy with Facilities Management Leadership Team, supply partners, ensuring effective asset lifecycle management for buildings, facilities and equipment for a given area(s) / subject area(s) of responsibility. You will also ensure the implementation of safe and compliant standards for planning and delivery of Engineering Maintenance.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Member of professional FM and/or engineering organizations e.g. IET, BIFM, IMechE, etc.

- Strong technical background and a subject matter expert (SME) level with knowledge of engineering principles and practices utilised across the lifecycle of asset to and facilities design and utility operations.

- Recognised expertise and competence in defined areas of engineering compliance.

- A highly customer focused leader, motivating and driving performance in teams to deliver high standards of service and cost effectiveness.

- Well-developed knowledge of maintenance processes, and the application of best practices and the effective deployment of maintenance.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Professionally accredited engineer, Chartered or equivalent with a recognised European accrediting body.

- Operational use of SAP and PRIME systems.

- Knowledge of Cost Centre management skills to ensure effective delivery of the budget.
