We operate an Agile working model, so you'll be required to work out of your local office 2-3 days and at home the remainder of the week.
There will also be some travel required as part of the role.

How can you change it up?
You’ll take responsibility for building a structured plan that creates and maintains effective working relationships with Openreach to facilitate fibre roll-out while ensuring performance is measured and high standards are always maintained. This role will be both internal and externally facing, providing leadership to a growing team whilst developing strategic relations with external industry stakeholders and internal network build departments. You’ll act as the main point of contact for the group with all PIA related elements to workstreams.
You’ll take charge of engagement with Openreach looking at continuous improvement within the product and the way CityFibre engages with Openreach whilst supporting City Delivery Teams to ensure correct and efficient usage. You’ll orchestrate and drive all efforts across departments to ensure that PIA related KPIs are achieved and ultimately to deliver an industrialised PIA service for our business. You’ll also be:
- Overseeing PIA activities within your team and the wider business
- Being a point of contact for Openreach and regulatory teams
- Driving product improvements and continuous improvements
- Engaging with architecture and engineering teams for solutions that make the best usage of PIA
- Managing external and internal stakeholders
- Guiding a multifaceted team that may be geographically dispersed at times
What will you bring to the role?
You’ll be a self-motivated leader who has experience in leading people and operating at various levels across the business. The role will be both internal and externally facing, providing leadership but also developing strategic relations, so you’ll need to be an excellent communicator and have a proven ability to guide and manage large multidisciplinary teams. Alongside this, you will need:
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels within the organisation
- Commercial acumen skills
- The ability to manage large cost exposures
- Strong working knowledge of financial drivers and the impact of job changes on financial and delivery performance
- A solid understanding of risk and issue management
- Understanding of regulatory bodies such as OFCOM
- Ability to challenge the use of PIA in our organisation
