We operate an agile working model, so you’ll be asked to spend at least 2 – 3 days working in our Telford office so you can collaborate with your team.

As the fastest-growing fibre network in the UK, you could say we’re changing things up. Not only are we unlocking the digital potential of an entire nation, but we’re also constantly evolving, to give our people the most seamless employee experience possible. We’re doing this by creating a sense of purpose among our teams and offering career development opportunities the like of which has never been seen before. We’re a company that cares about people, places and new possibilities. Could this be the fresh start you’re looking for?

CityFibre is looking for people with the enthusiasm and determination to connect the country to a better broadband network. Telecoms is an incredible place to start building your career and CityFibre is an incredible company to do that in. Let us tell you why. This fast-paced, exciting industry is ever-evolving. There are endless opportunities for you to grow and a load of different departments within that to choose from.

What makes CityFibre different is the learning and development paths we offer all of our employees. See we’re not looking for people with experience, that will come. We’re looking for passion and potential. There are no corners we can cut in creating the digital future. Only the right people will be able to help us in doing that. So, no matter what your circumstance, degree or not, experience or not, CityFibre is giving anyone the opportunity to be a part of something great.

We think smart, act fast, always back each other and give everything our best. We’re building a legacy, that’s the CityFibre Way. There’s never been a more exciting time to be a part of the team at CityFibre.

A rewarding career

With a starting salary of £24,700, when you join the CityFibre family you’ll also enjoy benefits like 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

How can you change it up?

We’re at a pivotal point in our journey – we’re growing fast, we have ambitious goals and the demand for excellent digital experiences is bigger than ever. This is where we need you.

You’ll be joining one of our development squads, working on a variety of systems alongside the product owner, scrum master and other developers to both create and features that continue to add value to our business.

Working closely with your team, you’ll take the time to understand system challenges that the business face, thinking outside of the box to come up with creative solutions.

What will you bring to the role?

Alongside already having some experience in application development and programming languages like Python and PHP, you’ll thrive when solving challenges, using your analytical skills and creative thinking to always find the best solution. We're also hoping you can bring some of the following with you to CityFibre:

  • Good prioritisation skills - able to manage a busy and varied workload
  • Git as a version control system
  • Database systems like MySQL, REDIS or DynamoDB

If you’ve just found yourself nodding and thinking, ‘I can do that!’, things are about to get exciting.
