What you can expect from us

Everyone at CityFibre has an important part to play, and we reflect that in our benefits. With a competitive salary depending on experience + a car allowance, when you join us, you’ll also enjoy 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

We believe we deliver our best when we work together. It’s the way we do things, trusting and giving our people the autonomy to manage their own day-to-day, promoting wellbeing, whilst still prioritising time together with our colleagues to connect, collaborate and share our ideas.

How you’ll change it up

We’re looking for a determined City Build Manager to own project builds, meet challenging targets and achieve KPIs, all to release Ready for Service homes that meet our clients quality standards. You’ll also be using your communication skills to support your city team in their growth, encouraging them to excel. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:

  • Taking direct responsibility for managing Construction teams and matrix managing the Design team
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Highways and collaborating with the City Manager on overall council engagement
  • Managing the operational relationships with all suppliers and putting in place monitoring
  • Becoming the driving force behind innovative solutions for problems escalated by our Contract Partners
  • Championing excellence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
  • Finding ways to streamline our processes and discovering new ways of being more efficient

What you’ll bring to the role

You’ll have experience managing Contract Partners, Capital Budgets, Construction, and ideally, Fibre Networks. You’re a proven leader and motivator, able to progress people and communicate across all levels of our business. You’ll represent our business in everything you do, so you’ll share our passion for connecting cities, as well as;

  • Civil Engineering experience
  • Fibre Optic experience
  • NRSWA Street Works Supervisor Certification, Units 1, 10-16
  • Experience in a similar local-market driven business
  • Experience of CRM systems such as Salesforce

We’re looking for people who don’t settle for ‘good enough’ and push things forward. If you’ve just found yourself thinking, ‘I’d love to do this’, we want to hear from you. Let’s change it up.
