What you can expect from us

Everyone at CityFibre has an important part to play, and we reflect that in our benefits. With a competitive salary depending on experience, when you join us, you’ll also enjoy 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

We believe we deliver our best when we work together. It’s the way we do things, trusting and giving our people the autonomy to manage their own day-to-day, promoting wellbeing, whilst still prioritising time together with our colleagues to connect, collaborate and share our ideas.

How you’ll change it up

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Project Controller to work alongside the Build Manager and Project Controls Manager, playing a crucial, hands-on role in delivering Fibre To The Home rollouts across the City. You’ll have a complete overview of each project, flagging any potential issues and driving improvements to our processes, helping us deliver fibre faster and more efficiently. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
  • Coordinating the project activities by working with all stakeholders, enabling flawless project execution
  • Monitoring and tracking progress against the detailed project plan – identifying risk and supporting the Project Controls Manager and Build Manager in identifying mitigation activities
  • Reporting project progress, status, cost and risk using appropriate tools and technique

What you’ll bring to the role

You will have a proven track record in coordinating large scale complex projects in a B2B environment, excellent organisational skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels. You will bring some of the below to CityFibre with you:

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies including Prince2 or PMi and MS Project
  • Experience of planning and controlling complex, multi-workstream projects
  • Experience of devising and delivering mitigations to address key risks
  • A proven ability to develop and manage project budgets and finances
  • Telecoms or construction experience would be beneficial

We’re looking for people who don’t settle for ‘good enough’ and push things forward. If you’ve just found yourself thinking, ‘I’d love to do this’, we want to hear from you. Let’s change it up.

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
