How you’ll change it up
You’ll be joining one of our development squads in our busy software development team, primarily working on features that will add value to systems used across the business. Working alongside the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other developers in a DevOps driven environment, you’ll understand what the business challenges are and how we can solve them within an agile Kanban framework. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:
- Writing efficient and readable PHP or Python code
- Ensuring that code is correctly unit tested
- Helping to refine features so they are ready for development
- Assisting the Test Engineer in automating tests
- Presenting technical ideas to the squad and wider departments
- Demonstrating technical features to the department and stakeholders
What you’ll bring to the role
As an experienced Application Developer, with expertise in either PHP or Python, you’ll also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well the desire to continuously deliver value to the business. You’ll also bring the following:
- Ability to quickly absorb new ideas and concepts
- Confidence and ability to clearly and concisely present ideas
- Experience working well as part of a squad
