The position
Take the next step in your career, using your knowledge of human factors and ergonomics, you will be undertaking complex investigations and contributing to the safety of the community.
You will be connected to peers on a state and national level, participating in forums and committees on human factors and ergonomics. You will identify and respond to emerging issues and trends, providing advice and participating in development of legislation, policy, systems and projects to reduce risk and promote healthy workplaces.

Where will you work?
This position is located in Cannington. Get away from the city and enjoy the benefits of this location, free secure parking, close to a major shopping centre with food and entertainment activities.
Easily accessible by public transport, the Armadale/Thornlie line will be closed for 18 months from early 2023 and replacement bus services are planned.
A café is on site, with friendly staff, great coffee and a selection of healthy lunch options.
This office is light and open plan, with breakout areas, spacious meeting rooms and multiple kitchen areas.

What are we looking for?
You must a Bachelor of Science degree or higher qualification relevant to human factors and ergonomics in the workplace.
To be competitive for this role, please submit a detailed resume and covering letter (of no more than 2 pages) addressing the following;
- Demonstrated experience in conducting very complex investigations relevant to human factors and ergonomics in the workplace.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to the most complex emerging issues and trends relevant to human factors and ergonomics in the workplace.
You are required to hold a current Western Australian C or C-A class driver’s licence or equivalent for this role.
All requirements, capabilities and pre-employment checks listed on the attached JDF will be assessed as part of the selection process. Pre-employment checks will include; a National Police Check, a Medical including Q fever screening and vaccination if required, and a Psychometric assessment.
