We currently have an opportunity for a Receptionist / Ticketek Officer to join our team at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC). You will be responsible for the smooth running of the Reception Desk at the PCEC, as well as provide administrative and operational support to the Floor Department, responsible for the daily operation of public spaces and provision of venue services to events within the Centre.
Please note this is a full-time role, working 38 hours a week over 5 days, typically 0730 - 1530. At times of high business activity, there may be a requirement to work longer hours over 4 days instead.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Answering and screening incoming calls with a pleasant, helpful and friendly tone.
- Ensure guests receive the highest standard of service.
- Manage telephone and email booking enquiries, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Create, schedule, and update the digital and print signage around the venue, including using the Xibo digital signage system (training provided) and programs such as Photoshop and Publisher.
- Printing, copying, faxing, collating, binding and emailing for all Business Centre clients, and handling transactions.
- Operate daily in the capacity of a Ticketek Agent. Use their Point of Sale for all services and deal with queries for Ticketek events held at other venues as well.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Must be technically proficient across Microsoft Suite and able to learn new systems quickly such as Ticketek Booking System, Ungerboeck (Event Booking Management System), Xibo digital signage system and Photoshop.
- Experience in a hospitality environment is desirable.
- Completion of secretarial/computer courses is desirable.
- Successfully completed Year 12.
