The Electronic Warfare Technology & Enterprise (EWTE) Group is made up of Physicists, Mathematicians, RF, Electronic, Software, Communications and System Engineers and internationally recognised experts in Electromagnetic Activities (EMA).
We deliver across the full scale of Defence Science & Technology; from sponsoring and mentoring PhDs, through R&D for future systems, to providing highly classified analysis and advice into current operations.
We use the depth of experience across the group to help the Ministry of Defence deliver new EW systems for our Armed Forces, providing research-based advice on everything from new signal detection algorithms to how those systems are connected and operated in the UK and Allied forces.

We are looking for someone who has:
The primary requirements for the role are the ability to deliver technical work and have the experience and academic level necessary to work alongside and develop your technical expertise. You are not necessarily expected to be the finished article but ideally you will have some level of experience, knowledge and skills in any one or more of the areas listed below:
- RF Propagation and Antenna Theory
- Knowledge of Electronic Warfare
The group would be particularly interested in applicants whose technical hobbies include Amateur Radio, coding and use of tools such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Our work in defence, security and intelligence requires our employees to be UK Nationals who are able to gain a high level of security clearance to undertake the projects we are involved in to protect us from security threats. For this reason, only UK Nationals will be able to apply for this role. This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
