Edinburgh Airport is Scotland’s largest airport, welcoming 15 million passengers flying to and from 150 destinations in 2019. Edinburgh Airport's Digital Team is a small, distributed team focused on using technology to create great experiences that help make travel better and to optimise online revenue. Our products include passenger-facing websites, internal tools to help operations run smoothly and efficiently, and our AirportX eCommerce platform, which we are selling to other airports globally as software as a service (SaaS). To help us achieve our goals, we’re expanding the team.
We're looking for a team player who is good with customers and technology and will own the support of our digital products and help standardise our service offering. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team including product, engineering and commercial working together on building products and bringing them to market.
Person Specification:
● Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working with software engineers when required
● Day to day management of our current and prospective AirportX B2B customers, building strong relationships and ensuring they are getting the most out of our platform
● Formalise and scale our support services as we bring on more customers, including building out a knowledge base and monitoring and reporting on SLAs
● Support delivery of new functionality by helping to ensure launch readiness through testing, QA and product training when required
● Participate in roadmap planning, representing the priorities of our customers and bringing their feedback and ideas to the table
Qualifications and Experience:
- A self-motivated problem solver – someone who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience of supporting software as a service (SaaS) solutions and B2B relationship management in a commercial environment
- Experience of working with online digital solutions and a keen interest in learning new technologies
- Effective technical troubleshooting skills
- A good communicator with the ability to explain complex issues to stakeholders and customers at all levels
- Flexible and ready to get stuck in and help out with a wide variety of tasks
- Excited at the prospect of working in a fast-paced environment as part of an ambitious team
● Working with product and software engineering teams and understanding the software development lifecycle
● Able to carry out small technical fixes e.g. HTML
