Our Early Bag Store (EBS) team support the work of the whole baggage hall getting passengers and their bags away on their journeys. This is a critical part of what makes our airport tick and you will have the opportunity to develop your career with us.
You will be working in the baggage hall preparing bags in the Early Bag Store until they are ready to be pushed into the main baggage system.
- Correctly loading and storing luggage
- Loading baggage from cages onto conveyor
- Scanning baggage before dispatching to carousels
- Recording and dealing with damaged or incorrectly received baggage
- Using specialist equipment such as conveyors, bar code recognition
- Informing baggage controllers about damaged or malfunctioning equipment
- Able to work safely under time pressures
- Reliable, conscientious with an eye for detail
- Enthusiastic and flexible
- Capable of working as part of a team
- Experienced in manual handling in previous roles
- Current Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience of working with the baggage operation or in airport
