About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Surface Access Team at Edinburgh Airport. The role is principally looking after the wider car parking estate at the airport as a Grounds Keeper which will include escalating any security or health and safety concerns. The successful candidate will also be trained in the Control Room as a Customer Service Advisor, offering support during busy periods or through annual leave cover as part of the team roster.

What you’ll be doing
- Ensuring the car parks are maintained to a high standard
- Conduct patrols frequently to identify any health and safety concerns or areas requiring attention through waste management
- Provide updates to the management team on areas requiring attention and liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes for work as required
- First line maintenance of car parking infrastructure
- Customer communication via intercom enquiries, providing outstanding customer service
- Ensure compliance with all company Standard Operating Procedures
- Support the wider Surface Access team as and when requested including providing cover
What we’re looking for
This role is ideal for a motivated individual who has pride in their work, and who delights in offering excellent customer service.
- Full UK Driving Licence – maximum of 3 penalty points and licence held for minimum 3 years
- Communication - you have excellent interpersonal skills
- Keen eye for detail and how we appear to our customers
- Intermediate computer and IT skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, both with minimal supervision and as part of a team
The following items would also be desirable, but are not essential for the role as full training will be provided:
- IOSH or other Health and Safety qualification
