Are you a qualified, experienced Train Driver? Freightliner is a market leader in providing innovative rail freight solutions and we are currently recruiting experienced train drivers across various intermodal depots across the UK.

With over 50 years in the industry we pride ourselves on providing a seamless service for our customers and as a Train Driver for Freightliner’s intermodal team you will be integral to helping maintain our service excellence, operating over 100 safe daily services across the UK.

We are not only invested in the future but our employees; in return we ask that you are a fully qualified Train Driver with a highly professional attitude and a proactive & diligent approach to work. You will enjoy shift work, including weekend and night turns of duty, which may in turn require you to lodge away from home. Due to the varied shift patterns, we require you to live within a reasonable distance from your home location or be willing to relocate.

Requirements:

• Freight Train driving expertise preferred but general train driving experience accepted
• Route and traction knowledge for a specific area – desirable
• Flexible attitude to working hours
• Safety conscious with a clean safety of the line record
• Ability to remain calm in an emergency situation
• Excellent concentration and observation skills
• Good communication skills & the ability to clearly relay important safety messages
• Customer focused and committed to the Company brand

As part of the selection process candidates will be required to attend a railway standards new entrant medical and D&A test.
