We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our on-board train crew team as a Trainee Conductor based at Colchester.

The Role

Our Operations Department is integral to the smooth running of our trains and Customer Service is at the heart of everything we do. We are therefore looking to expand our Conductor Team to help us to improve our customer experience.

You will be responsible for undertaking all duties with safety as your primary concern, in accordance with all relevant rules and regulations and company procedures. Whilst principally ensuring the safety of yourself, our trains, and customers, you will also protect company revenue and deliver outstanding customer service.

In this role, you will be required to ensure the prompt departure of all our train services and report any delays to our Control team at the first opportunity.

This position will require you to work a combination of early starts, and late finishes. There is also weekend working and bank holidays

Full uniform will be provided, to ensure that you embrace our values and brand as a business.

We are looking for a colleague who has extensive customer service experience, coupled with the ability and experience of working in challenging situations.

We are looking for a colleague who is able to find solutions, as the role will encounter many different situations daily, whilst providing an effective service to our customers. Having the willingness to take responsibility associated with this role, as well as working effectively, will be important qualities to possess in this position.

Being able to make decisions quickly, and communicate these effectively, is an essential part of this role.  Your commitment to this role is essential, as we strive to make every journey better for our customers.
