Station Supervisor
Role Details
- You will be working an average of 35 hours per week. Shifts will take place between 04:40 am and 22:20 pm, including a combination of early, late and weekend.
- You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival for early and late shifts. Full training and a uniform are provided upon joining.
- Please note that applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- It is a requirement that candidates can reliably travel to and from their agreed booking location at the scheduled times.
- This is a safety critical role and will be required to be physically able/ attend a medical if you are successful
- Please note that this is a fixed term contract expected to last 6 months

The Role
As a Station Supervisor you will oversee the running of the station and ensuring the station is well kept and organised.
This role will involve you supporting our customers by assisting them with using our ticket machines based around the station, as well as guiding our customers on new ticketing technology such as the smart card, and use of our mobile phone app. etc.
Primary responsibilities include
- Greeting customers, selling tickets, and addressing customer inquiries, emphasising a customer service-oriented approach with a friendly demeanor.
- Support customers in using ticket machines located throughout the station and provide guidance on new ticketing technologies, including smart cards and mobile apps.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and cash regulations while maintaining ticket machines.
- Utilise company systems such as Fujitsu Star (ticket office sales machine) and Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs).
- Conduct security checks as part of the station security plan (SSP), with varying frequencies depending on the station, including monitoring for left items, securing waste bins, and checking that doors are locked or secured.
- This colleague will be responsible for managing the platform team in all matters regarding safety, security, and safe punctual dispatch of trains, whilst working in accordance with the rule book and operational standards.
- Collaborate with Drivers and Conductors to ensure smooth communication and service.
- Comply with safety regulations, reporting faults and hazards as necessary, as you will be responsible for the safe and punctual dispatch of trains. You’ll be invited to a 5-day Dispatch course.
