We are currently looking for a Head of Driver Operations, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a reliable and safe train service with good driver availability levels. The postholders focus is to lead and inspire the Area Operational Management teams to ensure that a competent driver is on the front every day to deliver the TSD objectives and targets on safety, performance and customer experience.
Your key tasks will include to deliver the TLGN train plan through the depot and driver teams, chair, manage and own the Trade Union relationship for driver operations ensuring we have a positive and collaborative relationship, ensure we operate safely in line with CMS and ensuring compliance across driver grade, implement and embed strategic plans to continually improve train service performance and work with other Heads Of to challenge and influence plans and activities ensuring they are operationally ready.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Significant experience of working in a customer-focused environment
- Senior leadership experience in railway operations or multi-site safety critical/ unionised environments
- Experience of leading safety management and improvement activity
- Ability to interpret reports and identify issues to develop solutions
- Experience in managing high-level trade union relationships
