Hornsey Engineering Depot - Train Maintainer – Wheel Lathe
We are currently recruiting for Train Maintainer for the Wheel Lathe team in our Hornsey depot.
Your primary role is with the Engineering Services Team working within the wheel lathe department re-machining train wheelsets and its associated tasks. You will be required to carry out routine servicing and repairs to the wheel lathe machine tools and associated plant equipment as required. In addition, be required to support other train maintenance activities within GTR as and when required. You will be required to work to laid down standards and tolerances.
You will:
- Be able carry out operations and associated roles within the wheel lathe
- Comply with safety systems and responsibilities
- Meet quality, safety, and efficiency targets
- Complete all maintenance records as required
- Undertake additional training as required to perform the duties within the remit of your role (Lathe Operator Exam)
- Complete other activities as directed by the Team Leader or Production Manager
