About the Role

We are recruiting for Qualified Drivers at our St Albans and Cricklewood Depots on our Thameslink Route. At Thameslink and Great Northern, we've modernised the way that we operate services for our passengers. Throughout 2024, we will be looking for enthusiastic individuals with great interpersonal skills to join our team of train drivers. Our Qualified Drivers are expected to provide a high quality of service to customers ensuring that customer care and safety standards are always met. You will need to live within 1 hour of these Depots consist of enthusiasm and great interpersonal skill to join our team of Train Drivers that deliver over 3600 per day. You will provide excellent customer service to thousands of passengers every day, keeping them updated and informed on their journey. You will be responsible for the safety of our customers, helping them get to where they need to be safely and on time.

Requirements:

You must possess the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years Train Driver experience
  • Able to maintain effective driving techniques
  • Dealing with customers in an effective manner
  • Excellent focus and attention to detail

Additional Information

Due to safety reasons you need to live within 1 hour of the Depot you are applying for to ensure you can attend to your shift on time and be able to carry out your duty efficiently and can work shift patterns including Saturday and Sundays.

Our recruitment process will consist of screening, a review of the RSSB B1 Transfer of Safety Critical Information history and a selection interview to ensure you meet the key requirements. As this is a safety critical role, you will be required to undertake a full safety critical medical examination alcohol and drug screening.
