An exciting opportunity to recruit a Development Support Engineer based at Selhurst

We are looking for someone who can support the Fleet Engineer through developing and delivering robust engineering change programmes within budget which are compliant with relevant standards and legislation

Knowledge:-

• HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Good understanding of GTR or similar rolling stock

• Strong change management skills
• Strong planning and organising skills

• Commercially astute with good negotiating skills
• Good leadership skills and team working skills - able to build high performing teams
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Excellent communicator – verbal and written
• A proactive self starter who is able to work under own initiative
• Ability to interpret traction and rolling stock standards.

Experience:-

• A minimum of 5 years knowledge and experience working on traction & rolling stock
• Experience of managing change
• Desirable: experience of implementing new technology in a rail environment, ideally with direct experience of telecommunications, Wi-Fi, mobile communications or IT installations
• Desirable: track record of managing supplier delivery within complex stakeholder frameworks
