An opportunity has become available as part of the Access & Regulatory team to work with key stakeholders in the industry – Office of Rail and Road, Network Rail, High Speed 1, Charter and Train Operators whom GTR interact with across our network.

The role provides advice to the business on provisions in our regulated station contracts, both with Network Rail and other train operators including station leases. The objective of which is to protect our rights and comply with our obligations across the GTR network.

We are looking for an individual who has a strong commercial background and is able to challenge contractual provisions and parties, to get the best outcomes both operationally and financially for GTR.

In this role you will:

  • Maximise income for GTR as leaseholder where other train operators use our facilities. Minimise outgoing charges where GTR is the customer. Manage the budgets for expenditure and income
  • Build effective relationships with Network Rail to overcome challenges and have in place touchpoints to manage the contract, both at Network Rail Franchised and Managed Stations
  • Evaluation and recovery of costs from Change proposals at Stations

If you are a collaborative leader, who is able to engage and influence stakeholders internally and externally; and are adaptable to alternative approaches to secure favourable outcomes, this could be the role for you.
