Purpose of Role:

The Supply Chain Governance Lead role at Harbour Energy is a critical role within the Supply Chain function, tasked with ensuring the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of supply chain operations across the organisation. This role is vital for:

  • Developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies to guide supply chain activities, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and best practices
  • Overseeing compliance with internal and external supply chain standards, including legal and regulatory requirements specific to the oil and gas industry
  • Conducting audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with various departments to integrate supply chain governance into overall business strategies
  • Enhancing transparency and accountability within the supply chain through robust reporting and performance monitoring

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

  • Governance Framework Development: Establish and maintain a comprehensive supply chain governance framework that aligns with organisational objectives and industry standards
  • Policy and Procedure Management: Develop and update supply chain policies and procedures to ensure consistent best practices across the company
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with supply chain governance policies, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage supply chain risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts on the organisation
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure supply chain governance aligns with business needs and regulatory requirements
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to supply chain personnel on governance policies, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of supply chain governance initiatives
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes through the application of governance insights and feedback
  • Developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies to guide supply chain activities, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and best practices
  • Overseeing compliance with internal and external supply chain standards, including legal and regulatory requirements specific to the oil and gas industry
  • Conducting audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with various departments to integrate supply chain governance into overall business strategies

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:

  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, professional certifications in supply chain or governance preferred
  • Relevant Experience: Significant experience in supply chain management or governance, ideally within the oil and gas industry or a similar sector
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Deep understanding of supply chain governance principles, legal and regulatory requirements, and best practices in the oil and gas industry
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, assess compliance, and develop effective solutions
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and drive governance initiatives
