Purpose of Role:
The Senior Supply Chain Systems Adviser role at Harbour Energy is pivotal in leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations within the company. This role is focused on:
- Leading the selection, implementation, and management of supply chain systems and technology solutions that support global optimisation and coordination
- Ensuring supply chain systems are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and operational needs
- Collaborating with IS, EMS and supply chain teams to integrate systems and processes, enhancing data visibility and decision-making
- Driving continuous improvement in supply chain operations through technological innovation and system optimisation
- Maintaining the security, integrity, and accessibility of supply chain data
Critical Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
- Supply Chain Systems Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic plan and for supply chain systems within the company’s broader Business Systems roadmap
- Global consistency: Drive global consistency in supply chain process and underlying systems where it adds value or reduces cost for Harbour
- Technology Implementation: In collaboration with the EMS & Business Systems team, lead the selection and implementation of supply chain management systems, ensuring they meet the specific needs of Harbour Energy
- System Integration: In collaboration with the EMS & Business Systems team, ensure the integration of supply chain systems with other business systems and processes, enhancing data flow and operational efficiency
- Data Management: Ensure the accuracy, security, and accessibility of supply chain data, facilitating informed decision-making
- Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to supply chain staff on system functionalities and best practices
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality support and service delivery
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure supply chain systems comply with relevant regulations and company policies, managing system-related risks effectively
- Change Management: In collaboration with the EMS & Business Systems team, drive change management initiatives related to supply chain systems, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:
- Bachelor’s degree, professional certifications in supply chain or governance preferred or professional certifications in supply chain or IT systems preferred
- Experience in supply chain management and systems, with a proven track record in implementing and managing supply chain technology solutions, preferably within the oil and gas industry
- Strong technical skills in supply chain management systems, ERP, and data analytics tools
- Ability to think strategically and align technology solutions with business goals and supply chain challenges
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead technology-driven change initiatives
