We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the team in the role of Audit Manager – Financial Crime located in London.
In this role, you will:
- Complete financial crime risk audits (covering AB&C, AML, Fraud and Sanctions) with the objective of delivering the Annual Audit Plan. Also, provide subject matter expertise in support of various business, operational and project audits
- Independently and objectively identify and assess risks, evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls and compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations, making recommendations to mitigate identified risks
- Perform quality audit work in accordance with the Group Audit Instruction Manual (AIM) to ensure controls are in place to effectively handle financial crime risk. This includes planning, completion of fieldwork and related work papers to required standards
- Support the drafting of audit reports and conclusions for each audit, ensuring reports accurately reflect audit findings documented in audit work papers. Ensure related risks, conclusions, root causes and proposed management actions are reasonable and well based
- Perform effective monitoring of audit issues against target deadlines and subsequent validation testing to ensure the issue is resolved and mitigates the risk identified
- Adopt data analytics and other new audit tools & techniques to improve productivity, efficiency and the effectiveness of audits
- Support continuous monitoring and risks assessments of assigned audit entities, using key risk information to contribute to the ongoing review and design of the AAP
- Strengthen GIA relationship and reputation with key stakeholders including Global Functions, Businesses and Regulators
