Salary: £2,305 per month for 42 hrs per week plus shift pay of up to £325 per month based on the shifts worked

The Port of Felixstowe is the largest deep-water Port in the UK and to support our continued growth and development we are looking for additional cover during the peak holiday season. We are looking to bring in temporary Labourers to work for a period of up to 6 months (April to September).

The start date for this role would be mid/late April. Please only apply if you are able to start in April.

You will be placing or removing twistlocks or under deck stackers in the corners of containers being loaded or discharged from a ship to or from a trailer. This role is largely routine and very repetitive/predictable. However, as it is carried out in an operational area, awareness of all movements in that area must be maintained at all times.

The work is physically demanding - each twistlock or stacker can weigh up to 5 kg. The work is performed outdoors so exposed to the weather - full PPE will be provided.

You will work an average of 42 hours per week with a mix of Days, Nights and weekends. Shifts are normally 12 hrs (0700-1900 or 1900-0700). Shifts will be flexible based on demand - you will not follow a defined shift pattern.

You must be over the age of 18 and ideally with a driving licence. Full training and a Health and Safety induction will be provided.
