Role Purpose
As an Account Manager within our Trading and Market Data Division, you will be accountable for organic growth and client retention as well as be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing clients and ensure that they are set up to gain success from Iress’ products and services. This role oversees day-to-day relationships with clients and working collaboratively to cultivate future projects and qualify new opportunities. You will work closely with and consult with other functions (including product support, client solutions and finance) to ensure mutual objectives are met.
Accountabilities & Deliverables
Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their overall strategy, challenges and priorities and determine where we can deliver solutions
Assist Tier 2 Support Teams with technical advice for clients including complex trading order flows
Support client projects and initiatives with solutions design and advice relating to complex order routing, connectivity and trading workflows
Provide expert support to diagnose issues and recommend changes
Lead the communication and coordination between internal and external stakeholders ensuring that an appropriate level of project management is used to keep the resolution of client issues on track and in line with client expectations
Support Account Management and Sales Teams in the short to medium term, assisting with gathering requirements, RFP/RFI responses, overall solution design and product demonstrations
Work closely with Project Management and Implementation Teams to deliver new client setups
Apply the Iress commercial ways of working in all activities including engaging with clients via our chosen methodology, process and tool-set
Manage commercial negotiations and ongoing revenue forecasting for clients
Support the delivery of new and enhanced product features and propositions to the market by establishing clear adoption and account plans
Key Competencies
Core working experience within the Financial Service sector required with demonstrated experience with financial markets trading technology
A strong understanding of financial markets and products
Intimate knowledge and understanding of how trading products are developed, maintained and deployed
FIX order routing experience preferred
Experience working in a project environment in the financial markets sector is desirable but not essential
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, delegate and respond to queries in a timely and appropriate manner
Self-motivated with strong initiative to liaise with clients in order to understand their requirements
Strong commercial and business acumen
Deep understanding and knowledge of industry practices, business environment and technology requirements
Excellent communication, relationship building and networking skills
Excellent analytical skills to evaluate the client, competitors as well as industry landscapes and make recommendations to drive profitability and gain market share
Strong influencing, negotiation, critical thinking and problem solving skills
