About the Role

Responsible for new business development and/or expanding existing business, specifically within the Mortgages sector positioning Iress as the technology leader in our markets.

An industry and product expert who is not only knowledgeable of Mortgages and SaaS but passionate about delivering solutions that bring efficiency, innovation and relevance to our clients.

Uses in-depth knowledge of Saas, client industry and deep knowledge of the product being sold to drive business development opportunities.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…

  • Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets, incorporating conversion of prospects into clients, usage uplift and the sale of additional solutions.

  • Achieve agreed activity targets for regular proactive engagement with prospects and clients in line with a structured plan and develop a pipeline of sales opportunities.

  • Apply the Iress commercial ways of working in all activities including prospecting for and engaging with clients via our chosen methodology, process and tool-set.

  • Research, map and qualify prospects, identifying key players and generating interest.

  • Work closely with prospects and clients to understand their overall strategy, challenges and priorities to deliver solutions.

  • Drive sales growth of products and solutions within the client group, identifying cross-selling opportunities and supporting organic growth opportunities.

  • Support the annual Iress Mortgage Efficiency Survey through identification of lender participants, undertaking lender interviews, analysing feedback, responses, trends, etc. and identifying opportunities for new client wins.

  • Lead and engage other team members to produce winning proposals, RFI's, RFP’s, pitches, presentations, and product demonstrations.

  • Attend relevant industry networking events, build a strong professional presence and be seen as the partner of choice, industry and subject matter expert in the identified business development area.

  • Engage proactively with the communications and marketing team to promote and communicate the business development story before, during and after market deployment.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure clients are being serviced to the highest possible standard.

  • Maintain, update and use global CRM with accuracy and timeliness, and record all corporate client and prospect interactions.

To be successful in this role you will…

Have a strong industry presence and a deep understanding and knowledge of Industry practices, business environment and technology requirements. With a detailed knowledge of SaaS and the key business drivers for Banks, Building Societies, Specialist and Fintech Lenders.

You will have a proven track record of delivering against sales targets with experience of working cross-functionally to bring about the right results for clients and engender quality across various teams.

Be a modern strategic thinker who looks to the future with a commercial focus while ensuring practical, commercial outcomes are achieved in the present.

Be a natural networker, building relationships both internally and externally. With excellent negotiation, organisation and analytical skills to evaluate the client, competitors, industry landscapes and make recommendations to drive profitability and gain market share.
