Build your career at Iress!

With a global footprint spanning Asia Pacific, the UK, North America and Africa, our teams work on complex, mission critical platforms that power financial services for thousands of businesses worldwide.

As a Senior Site and Reliability Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our platforms are reliable, scalable, secure and future ready, enabling product engineering teams to move fast with confidence.

Some of the amazing things you’ll be involved in

  • Driving reliability, scalability and supportability outcomes across mission critical, client facing platforms

  • Partnering closely with product and engineering teams as part of an end to end product engineering model

  • Establishing and upholding Service Level Objectives (SLOs) using strong observability practices across metrics, logs and distributed tracing

  • Designing and operating highly available, multi-AZ architectures across AWS and hybrid environments

  • Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and “everything-as-code” automation

  • Strengthening resilience, security and DevSecOps practices across containerised and cloud-native systems

  • Reducing operational toil through smart automation and modern SRE practices

  • Supporting production environments, including participation in an on-call rotation

  • Contributing to the evolution of Iress’ Site & Reliability Engineering strategy and future-state operating model

What you will bring

  • Strong experience supporting and operating mission-critical production systems

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and hybrid infrastructure environments

  • Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, ECS, Kafka, Elasticache and modern cloud architectures

  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Buildkite, Jenkins, TeamCity or GitHub Actions

  • Strong scripting or engineering capability (e.g. Bash, Python, C#, Kotlin)

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

  • Working knowledge of databases such as Postgres and SQL Server

  • A security-first mindset across all layers of the stack

  • Strong understanding of modern observability and reliability engineering practices

  • Comfort working with Generative AI tools and code assistants, with a strong appreciation for governance and security

  • A collaborative, confident communicator who can engage effectively across technical and non technical stakeholders

  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a passion for automation, modern engineering practices and future-focused thinking

Why work with us?

  • 8 additional paid days per year to extend your weekends

  • Hybrid working

  • Generous cash bonus for every successful referral

  • Starting school leave - 8.5 days of leave to assist your children with the transition to school

  • Up to 26 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary carers (up to 4 weeks for secondary carers), and the ability to work part-time when returning to work

  • 3 days’ paid leave per year to participate in charity initiatives

  • Discounted health insurance premiums

  • Access to learning and development programs through LinkedIn Learning
