Build your career at Iress!

As General Manager, Risk, you’ll play a critical leadership role in shaping and delivering Iress’ enterprise wide risk strategy and framework. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board, ensuring the business achieves its objectives within defined risk appetite, while navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and technology landscape.

Some of the amazing things you’ll be involved in

  • Acting as a strategic advisor to the Executive and Board on risk exposure, trade offs and mitigation strategies

  • Driving enterprise wide oversight across strategic, operational, product, technology and market risks

  • Partnering with Legal and Compliance to anticipate and respond to evolving regulatory requirements across global jurisdictions

  • Leading risk practices across technology and cyber domains, including cloud, data privacy, API security and system resilience

  • Overseeing vendor and third-party risk across critical fintech and platform partnerships

  • Collaborating with Data and Finance teams to monitor financial, fraud and liquidity risks and build forward looking risk models

  • Embedding a strong risk culture across the organisation through education, frameworks and leadership

  • Reporting key risk insights to the Board Audit and Risk Committee

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing, engaged and commercially minded risk team

What you will bring

  • Deep expertise in enterprise risk management, ideally within fintech, digital banking or technology led environments

  • Strong understanding of modern risk frameworks (e.g. ISO, NIST) and cloud/SaaS operating models

  • Proven ability to influence at executive and Board level, translating complex risk concepts into clear commercial insights

  • Experience leading cross functional risk programs across technology, product, data and operations

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn data into actionable strategy

  • A strategic mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and navigating complex environments

  • High integrity, sound judgement and a strong commitment to ethical business conduct

  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and inspire high performing teams

  • 8-12+ years’ experience in risk management, with exposure to fast paced, tech first environments

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Risk, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field

Why work with us?

  • 8 additional paid days per year to extend your weekends
