Join the Payments Sales Team!

As a Payments Sales Team Lead, you will lead and manage a team of Payment Sales Managers (PSMs) covering a portfolio of Corporate Multinational clients, with responsibility for North American coverage and APAC inbound client opportunities. You will be accountable for driving revenue growth across treasury services, merchant services, and trade & working capital, while ensuring disciplined pipeline management, consistent sales execution, and high-quality client outcomes. This role requires strong leadership across regions, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and the capability to coach teams to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that improve clients’ treasury operations and working capital efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of PSMs, setting performance expectations, enabling skill development, and driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client-first execution.
  • Own regional and cross-regional Payments sales strategy for the team’s portfolio, including pipeline build, forecasting, and delivery of new business sales goals across North America and APAC inbound opportunities.
  • Drive sales of the full Payments product suite, including treasury services (core cash clearing, liquidity management, and foreign exchange solutions), merchant services, and trade & working capital solutions.
  • Partner closely with HQ, North American coverage, and APAC stakeholders to align priorities, coordinate client coverage, and ensure consistent messaging and execution across regions and time zones.
  • Provide oversight and governance on complex deals, ensuring strong qualification, value articulation, competitive positioning, pricing discipline, and effective negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure the team deeply understands industry/segment dynamics and client treasury operating models; guide the development and delivery of sophisticated, multi-product solutions in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain senior, trusted relationships with key clients and prospects; engage at strategic levels to create integrated treasury dialogues within a consultative, client-led framework.
  • Establish a consistent approach to opportunity quantification, benchmarking, and solution positioning to improve win rates and expand wallet share.
  • Lead and coordinate regional RFPs across North America and APAC inbound efforts, including orchestration with HQ, country coverage, product, implementation, and internal control partners.
  • Act as an escalation point to ensure effective coordination across sales, product, implementation, operations, legal, risk, and compliance to deliver high-quality client outcomes and sustainable revenue.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Relevant experience in Payments sales or related areas, with demonstrated success in building client relationships, winning, and closing new business.
  • People leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and sales execution leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of cash & liquidity management products, and solid understanding of compliance and Know Your Client (KYC) processes and how they impact deal execution.
  • Proven ability to manage regional pipeline governance, forecasting, and deal prioritization across multiple markets (including cross-time-zone coverage).
  • Strong selling, negotiation, and influencing skills, with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder solutions.
  • Excellent partnership and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders; ability to align HQ and regional teams to common goals.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Experience covering multinational clients and coordinating across North America and APAC (including APAC inbound client engagement).
  • Exposure to multiple functions such as coverage, sales, client service, operations, product, and implementation.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word (and Access preferred) skills for pipeline reporting, client analytics, and executive-ready materials.
