As a Principal Technical Program Manager at JPMorganChase within Corporate Technology, Employee Platforms Delivery and Execution, you will provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of complex, enterprise-scale initiatives. You will set transformation direction, establish strong governance and delivery discipline, and partner with senior stakeholders across engineering, architecture, product, and business leadership to drive outcomes. Leveraging deep technical fluency, modern delivery practices, and data-driven insights, you will enable iterative execution at scale, strengthen operational excellence, and ensure solutions are resilient, secure, and aligned to the firm’s strategic priorities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own strategy and portfolio execution for large-scale, multi-year transformation programs, ensuring alignment to organizational objectives, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes whilst establishlishing governance and operating cadence (OKRs/KPIs, executive steering, financial tracking, dependency management, and delivery transparency) to drive predictable execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Develop and drive integrated program plans across teams and vendors, including technical requirements, sequencing, resourcing, milestones, and cutover/rollout planning to enable on-time delivery and seamless integration with existing platforms.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, product, and business leadership to define scope, value case, and success metrics; identify opportunities to improve processes, digitalize workflows, and increase operational efficiency, and lead change and adoption at scale, sponsoring and executing change management strategies that build stakeholder alignment, accelerate adoption, and ensure sustained benefits realization.
  • Proactively manage risk, controls, and delivery health, identifying program-level risks and dependencies early, driving mitigation plans, and ensuring appropriate escalation and decision-making.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights, using data visualization and concise narratives to communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and organizational alignment through executive workshops, communications, training approaches, and decision forums that enable clarity and momentum.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, coaching program leaders and delivery partners, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, translating best practices into pragmatic transformation approaches suited to the firm’s environment.
  • Defines and enforces enterprise guardrails for AI-assisted and agentic workflows used in program governance and delivery routines, including control boundaries, traceability/auditability, and review/approval expectations aligned to resiliency and security standards.
  • Drive experimentation and continuous learning, establishing lightweight pilots and feedback loops to evaluate agentic tools/agents, measure impact, and scale what works in partnership with engineering, architecture, product, and control stakeholders.
  • Sets enterprise strategy for reuse-first adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate program planning, risk synthesis, and executive reporting, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data. Maintain current awareness of emerging agentic tools/agents and patterns, translating new capabilities into practical, governed use cases across Employee Platforms (e.g., delivery automation, portfolio insights, risk identification, and stakeholder communications).

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on technical program management concepts and advanced applied experience in technology program/portfolio leadership within a large, complex organization, with a track record of delivering enterprise-scale outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership of large-scale transformation programs spanning multiple teams, systems, and stakeholders, including end-to-end delivery, adoption, and benefits realization.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capability to assess performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement data-driven delivery and operating metrics.
  • Deep expertise in risk identification, mitigation, dependency management, and contingency planning for complex initiatives.
  • Proven ability to drive technology adoption and operating model change, ensuring sustainable integration into business-as-usual practices.
  • Strong people leadership and talent development capabilities, including coaching, influence, and cross-functional team leadership. Executive-level facilitation skills to lead workshops and decision forums, align stakeholders, and resolve competing priorities.
  • Expertise with delivery methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban) and ability to apply the right approach per initiative.
  • Strong technical fluency across modern platforms, systems, and digital tools, enabling effective partnership with architecture and engineering teams.
  • Comfort partnering with technical teams to assess AI solution feasibility, integration considerations, and operating impacts, and to make informed trade-offs across delivery, risk, and control requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading safe adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment at firm scale, including validation practices, data sensitivity considerations, and measurable delivery outcomes, this means AI fluency and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to understand, evaluate, and apply current agentic tools/agents to improve program delivery, operational efficiency, and stakeholder transparency.
  • Ability to establish governance and decision frameworks for AI-assisted and agentic workflows, including human approval checkpoints and auditability aligned to resiliency, security, and operational risk expectations, we look for the ability to identify high-value AI/agent-assisted use cases, define success measures, and guide teams through adoption while balancing governance, risk, and change management.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced executive communication skills, able to convey transformation vision, strategy, progress, and trade-offs to audiences at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio.
  • Senior stakeholder management, influence, and negotiation skills, including navigating complex governance and decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; master’s degree and/or certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma) preferred.
